  • Professor Kim began his journey in the field of medicine by obtaining a Medical Degree from Hanyang University in 1998. His scholarly pursuits deepened his exploration into the realms of Immunology and Rheumatology, reaching a pinnacle with a PhD from Hanyang University in 2008. He currently holds a prestigious position as a professor at Chonnam National University Medical School and Hospital.
    In 2009, Prof. Kim's expertise in his field was internationally recognized when he was awarded the title of a full member of the Assessment of SpondyloArthritis International Society (ASAS) in South Korea. From 2014 to 2016, he reached a new turning point in his research dedication by joining Professor Bowness's Lab at the University of Oxford. During this period, he conducted important research on the functional role of Th17 cells in Ankylosing Spondylitis. Marked by dedication and excellence, Prof. Kim has strengthened his capacity in his field by contributing over 50 peer-reviewed papers to clinical and scientific journals.
